How to Get to the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Parking, Etc

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is located in the Cultural District of Saadiyat Island, soon becoming a big center for culture and arts. 

You can reach the Louvre Abu Dhabi using any of the five different transportation options.

This guide will give you all the info you need to make your visit to the Louvre as easy and convenient as possible.

By Bus

To reach the Louvre Abu Dhabi by bus, simply board the #94 bus and get off at the Saadiyat Island stop.

On The Cultural Express

Enjoy a complimentary round trip from Dubai to Abu Dhabi with the Cultural Express. 

Departing from the Sheraton Mall of the Emirates Hotel, Dubai, at 9 am, the shuttle serves two stops – Louvre Abu Dhabi and Qasr al Watan. 

Return trips to Dubai depart from Qasr al Watan at 6 pm and from Louvre Abu Dhabi at 6.35 pm.

By Car

If driving from Abu Dhabi City, follow the signs for Yas Island and then take the Sheikh Khalifa Bridge to reach Saadiyat Island. 

From there, take the first exit after the bridge to reach the Cultural District and follow signs to the museum. 

From Dubai on E11 or Yas Island, take the Saadiyat Island / Yas Island exit onto Sheikh Khalifa Highway E12.

Then, follow Yas Highway to the Cultural District / Louvre Abu Dhabi.

By Taxi

For those taking a taxi, designated drop-off and pick-up points are available in front of the museum’s main entrance for convenience.

By Boat

Experience a unique journey by taking the water taxi service from Marsa Mina, Abu Dhabi Port’s Cruise Terminal, to Louvre Abu Dhabi.

Getting to the Louvre Abu Dhabi from Yas Island

The journey from Yas Island to Louvre Abu Dhabi typically takes around 20 minutes. 

You must head west on the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Highway E12 until you reach Saadiyat Island. 

Once on Saadiyat Island, turn right onto Jacques Chirac Street, and you’ll find the museum.

Getting to the Louvre Abu Dhabi from the Airport

If you’re traveling from Abu Dhabi International Airport, reaching the Louver Abu Dhabi usually takes about 30 minutes. 

Simply follow the signs for Yas Island from the airport. 

Once on Yas Island, head onto the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Highway E12, continue over Saadiyat Island, and you’ll arrive at the museum.

Parking at the Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi

The Louvre Abu Dhabi offers a dedicated parking garage with over 1,000 visitor spaces. 

You can find it on the museum’s west side, open from 7 am to midnight. 

The parking fee is AED 20 ($5) for the first hour and AED 10 ($3) per hour afterward.

Valet Parking

For added convenience, you can opt for valet parking at the Louvre Abu Dhabi for a flat fee of AED 42 ($11) for any duration. 

Rest assured that your vehicle will be safe with the valet service.

Off-site Parking

If the on-site parking is full, there are other options nearby. 

Saadiyat Island Parking, located on the island’s east side, offers over 2,000 parking spaces at AED 2 (54 cents) per hour. 

Manarat Al Saadiyat Parking, on the island’s north side, also has more than 1,000 spaces available at the same hourly rate.
